National Recording Artists to Perform at Nardin Academy to Celebrate High School Spirit

Students Collect over $11,000 in Pennies to Take First Prize in Kiss 98.5’s High School Spirit Contest
WHAT: Students at Nardin Academy will host a concert by national recording artists The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus for their efforts collecting over $11,000 for Kiss 98.5’s High School Spirit 2007 contest, sponsored by Pepsi and Cold Stone Creamery. Nardin Academy students came in first place in the contest that raised more than $44,000 in pennies plus an additional $20,000 in sponsorships to raise $64,000 to benefit Carly’s Club for Kids and Cancer Research at Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI). Nardin was one of 29 high schools from across Western New York to participate in this year’s contest.

Carly’s Club was founded by eight-year-old brain cancer patient, Carly Collard Cottone, who bravely succumbed to her illness in August 2002.
