Reminder of bike traffic and closed roads for the Saturday, June 28 event
(BUFFALO, NY) Riders and volunteers from The Ride For Roswell, presented by Wegmans, and the faculty and staff of Roswell Park Cancer Institute would like to thank the residents of Amherst, the City of Buffalo, the Tonawandas, Clarence, Newstead and Akron in advance for being patient and driving safely as nearly 6,000 event participants ride through their neighborhoods during the morning and early afternoon of Saturday, June 28.
To ensure the safety of each of the Ride’s participants, drivers are asked to use caution when pulling out of their driveways and when passing groups of cyclists. Also, as a reminder, no parking will be permitted in bike lanes on the day of the Ride.
Many thanks to the Amherst, City of Buffalo, City of Tonawanda and Town of Tonawanda Police Departments as well as the New York State Troopers, Erie County Sheriff’s Office and all the volunteer fire companies for their support in making The Ride for Roswell safe for everyone.
Consider riding, cheering on riders, or donating to this community-wide effort to benefit lifesaving cancer research and patient care at Roswell Park Cancer Institute! Visit www.RideforRoswell.org or call 716-845-8788 today for more information.
