"Strike-Out Breast Cancer" Bowling Event to Raise Funds for Cancer Research, Patient Care

Local bowling association-sponsored event to raise funds for Roswell Park Cancer Institute and Susan G. Komen for the Cure
(BUFFALO, NY) The Tonawanda USBC Bowling Association will conduct the 4th annual Strike-Out Breast Cancer fundraising event on Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Manor Lanes in the Town of Tonawanda. Free bowling from noon to 3 p.m. and lunch will be provided for all participants. Other activities will include a Chinese Auction, a baked goods sale and a 50-50 drawing. Donations and memorials will be accepted. Volunteers are also welcome. This event is open to the public.
A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit cancer research and patient care at Roswell Park Cancer Institute through the Team Cure program. Additional proceeds will benefit Susan G. Team Cure was established to help individuals and community organizations wishing to raise funds for Roswell Park Cancer Institute. During the 2006-2007 fiscal year, Team Cure community events raised over $700,000 for Roswell Park's research and patient care programs. Support is provided to each organizer by community event coordinators from the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation.
