Roswell Park Cancer Institute Offers Pastoral Program
BUFFALO, NY – The Division of Pastoral Care at Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) will present “Creating Wellness, Body, Mind and Spirit: A Pastoral Plan” Friday, February 4 , 8 am – 4:15 pm, in the Gaylord-Cary Meeting Room, Research Studies Center, RPCI, Elm & Carlton Streets.
The program was specifically designed to give health care professionals, pastors, ministers and chaplains a model and implementation strategy for more effectively meeting the needs of those facing health challenges.
In the morning session, Greg Anderson, CEO, Cancer Recovery Foundation, will lead participants through an in-depth analysis of his award-winning book, The 22 (Non-Negotiable Laws of Wellness). His presentations are titled: “The Importance of Creating Wellness Mobilizing Body, Mind and Spirit” and “Faith and Wellness.”
In the afternoon, Patricia Bomba, MD, vice president and medical director, Univera Healthcare, will present tips for improving physical and mental well-being through personal accountability and partnership with health care professionals. Her presentations are titled: “Creating and Nurturing a Healthy Lifestyle,” “Community Conversations on Compassionate Care” and “Engaging the Community.”
