Save Some Green This St. Patrick's Day and Stop Smoking
BUFFALO, NY – St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner. Stopping smoking will put more green (cash) in your pocket. Join the Stop Smoking Clinic at Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI).
A three-session Stop Smoking Clinic will be held on Thursdays, March 3, 10 and 17, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, in the Research Studies Center, RPCI, located at the corner of Elm and Carlton Streets.
The Clinic is presented by counselors who help smokers understand why they smoke and gives them the confidence and skills necessary for long-term success as non-smokers. Participants receive a stop smoking booklet, information on withdrawal symptoms, weight control methods, and tips on how to remain smoke-free.
The clinic fee of $10 is covered by Independent Health, Univera Healthcare, BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York and Community Blue. To register, call (716) 845-8046.
If you are unable to attend the clinic, smoking cessation information and materials may be obtained by calling the New York State Smokers Quit Line at 1-866-NY-QUITS (1-866-697-8487).
