RPCI President Featured Speaker at NCCN Annual Conference
BUFFALO, NY – David C. Hohn, MD, President & CEO, Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) will be a featured speaker at NCCN 11th annual conference, March 8-12, Hollywood, Florida.
Dr. Hohn will join a world-renowned panel of experts to discuss advances in and improvements to the quality and effectiveness of cancer care that can be expected in the coming decade.
The roundtable discussion: “Cancer Care in the 21st Century – Reality and Promise” will be moderated by ABC news anchor Sam Donaldson on Thursday, March 9 at 8:30 am. Panelists include Martin Abeloff, MD, The Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins; Edward Benz, Jr., Dana-Farber Cancer Institute; Senator Connie Mack, H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute; Beryl McCormick, MD, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center; John Mendelsohn, MD, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center; Margaret Tempero, MD, UCSF Comprehensive Cancer Center; John E. Niederhuber, MD, Deputy Director, National Cancer Institute; and Robert Young, MD, Fox Chase Cancer Center.
Stephen B. Edge, MD, Chair of Surgical Oncology, RPCI, will participate in a roundtable discussion, “Quality Evaluation, Coverage and Reimbursement,” Friday, March 10 at 9 am.
The conference will expand its focus on quality issues related to cancer care, challenges in the business of oncology, experts’ predictions about the future of cancer medicine and updates to the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology.
