You Are Invited to Meet the Docs Amherst Center Open House

BUFFALO, NY – The public is invited to “Meet the Docs” at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) Amherst Center Open House, located at 100 College Parkway, Amherst, NY, on Tuesday, June 16 from 5 – 7 pm.
Roswell Park is hosting the event in conjunction with the Amherst Chamber of Commerce’s Business After Hours program. Guests will be offered tours of the newly expanded location and have the opportunity to mingle with Roswell Park physicians and members of the medical team. WBEN radio talk show host, Sandy Beach, will broadcast his program live from the Center.
“Roswell Park welcomes the opportunity to showcase its satellite location to Amherst business leaders and the entire Western New York community,” said Donald L. Trump, MD, FACP, President & CEO, RPCI. “The center was designed to deliver excellent cancer care by members of the Roswell Park medical and nursing teams in a comfortable convenient location.”
The Amherst Center offers clinical services to patients diagnosed with lung,gastrointestinal, breast, prostate, thyroid and other endocrine cancers, as well as ovarian, uterine and other gynecological cancers. The Center provides chemotherapy and infusion to cancer patients from throughout Western New York.
The Center, which expanded in March, 2009, increased its physical space by 2,800 square feet for a total of 8,200 square feet, added four additional examination rooms, a consultation room, two physician offices and increased nursing and clinical support. A phlebotomy laboratory and a chemotherapy preparation pharmacy also are on site.
