RPCI Performance on National Quality Benchmarks
As part of its work with the National Cancer Comprehensive Cancer Network (www.nccn.org), doctors at Roswell Park have been very active in defining the best available quality measures to assess cancer care nation wide.
Doctors at Roswell Park participated and directed panels of the National Quality Forum, and the American Society of Clinical Society and National Comprehensive Cancer Network that developed quality measures for breast and colon-rectal cancer. In 2006, collaborative groups from both the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and the National Quality Forum (NQF) identified three Breast Cancer Quality Care Measures.
The table below shows the scores in these nationally accepted quality measures compared to the other large cancer centers in the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. Roswell Park scored as well or better than the other major cancer centers.
