Dr. Sebrié’s primary interest is focused on the implementation and evaluation of effective tobacco control policies in Latin America and the Caribbean.  He is currently working on a research project evaluating the impact of comprehensive smokefree public policies on cardiovascular events, as well as public beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors related to the policy.  This is the first study to be conducted in a developing country and includes Uruguay, Panama and Argentina. He is also leading a project evaluating the effectiveness of pictorial-based health warning labels in the Caribbean countries.
