Dr. Lawrence M. Mielnicki joined the staff of Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) in 1995. Dr. Mielnicki earned his doctoral degree in Cellular & Molecular Biology at the State University of New York at Buffal in 1996. He completed postdoctoral training in the Department of Experimental Pathology's Laboratory for Breast Cancer Research.
Dr. Mielnicki's research interests include: 1) stem cell structure and function, 2) mechanisms of carcinogenesis, and 3) the development and application of high throughput technologies for insertional mutagenesis to generate models of human disease and enhance the drug discovery process.
He is a member of the American Association for Cancer Research, the New York Academy of Sciences and the American Society for Cell Biology. He has authored or co-authored several publications and abstracts.
