the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in July, 2007. Dr. Park completed his Ph.D. in chemistry with Prof. T. Randall Lee at the University of Houston in 2004. His dissertation project involved the synthesis and characterization of self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) on gold generated by the adsorption of chelating alkanethiols. He worked as a postdoctoral research associate in the research group of Prof. Nicholas L. Abbott at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His postdoctoral researches included the development of liquid crystal-based chemical and biological sensors through the preparation of oligopeptide-modified interfaces. Dr. Park’s research at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute involves the preparation of biomedical nanodevices thorough the modification of dendrimers for their applications including cancer therapy, drug delivery, and diagnostic imaging. He is broadly interested in the design and engineering of nanostructured materials for biomedical applications. Dr Park is a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS). |
