Dr. Levi Ross joined the faculty of Roswell Park Cancer Institute in 2008 as an associate member in the Department of Cancer Prevention & Control, Office of Cancer Health Disparities Research. He came to RPCI from the Institute of Public Health in the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Florida A & M University, Tallahassee, FL.
Dr. Ross earned his doctoral degree in Health Education and Health Promotion and a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Health Behavior from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).
Dr. Ross’ research interests include the development of cancer information-seeking models and the development and testing of interventions to increase access to cancer care among vulnerable populations in the United States.
Dr. Ross is a member of the American Public Health Association, the Society for Behavioral Medicine, the Society for Public Health Education, and an Executive Council Member with the American Association for Cancer Education.
Dr. Ross has authored or coauthored several journal publications and serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Social Psychology, Health Education & Behavior, Journal of Healthcare for the Poor & Underserved, and the Journal of Cancer Education.
