Dr. Liguo Song joined the staff of Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) in 2003 as a mass spectrometry specialist. He has been appointed as an Assistant Director in Proteomics Resources since 2005. Dr. Song earned his doctoral degree in chromatography at Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He did his postdoctoral training both in genomics at Stony Brook University and proteomics at Institute for Biological Sciences, National Research Council of Canada.

Dr. Song brings along several years of experience in capillary liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry.  Dr. Song’s current focus is to apply his expertise in mass spectrometric and chromatographic techniques in diverse cancer proteomics research areas.  Dr. Song’s proteomics technology development and research presently takes place in the multidisciplinary, highly interactive environments of Proteomics Resources.

Dr. Song is a member of the American Society of Mass Spectrometry. He is the author of over 25 articles, one review article and holds one US patent.
